The Rosary

The Rosary is a prayer that you say. You say 1 Our Father and 10 Hail Mary’s then 1 Glory Be.

There’s beads that you can count for saying the 10 Hail Mary’s and the 1 Our Father then 1 Glory Be.

The Assumption

We celebrate the Assumption because it is Mary’s Heavenly birthday. Mary’s birthday is on the fifteenth of August. After Mary had died no one knew if she went to Heaven. Then Pope Pius had told the people that Mary’s body and soul had gone to Heaven.

This week in Religious Education we have been doing work about people in the bible. We did role plays in groups of three. The first people we learned about was Abraham and Sarah's call from God. Now we are learning about Mary's call from God.

Mary and Joseph walked a very long way from Jerusalem to Bethlehem before Jesus was born. It took 24.7 Km and 5 hours equal 13 mins which it a very long walk.
